Anji Mountain Rugs Are...
1] Grown, harvested, processed, manufactured, finished, assembled, packaged and shipped from the Anji Mountains....No bamboo from other regions of China are used in our rugs.
2] Grown in the only region of the world where bamboo experiences a winter freeze. This winter freeze allows the bamboo to go dormant for a period of months. No sap flows in the trees and the bamboo fiber grows much closer and tighter, creating a harder and more durable bamboo product.
3] Grown for at least five full years before being harvested with 5 full dormant seasons to allow the bamboo to increasingly become harder each year. Bamboo is typically harvested after only four years and from bamboo that has not experienced a winter freeze.
4] Thoroughly soaked and boiled in a carbonization tank to bring out it's natural colors and brilliance as well as to pull the natural oils and excess moisture from inside the bark to the outside of the bark as well as to further tighten the bamboo fibers to create the maximum density and hardness of Anji Mountain Bamboo Co. product.
5] Machine planed and machine sanded before the 'extra step' of being hand sanded to assure the smoothest and finest quality finish possible.
6] Manufactured with color coordinated poly borders that is longer wearing and stain resistant than cotton and micro stitched and bound with mitered corners.
7] Manufactured using 2mm high density 'hand rolled' felt backing….the finest quality felt backing available.
8] Comes with a full 8 ˝" x 11" color photo label complete with individual UPC number.

Comments about Anji Mountain Bamboo Rugs Contemporary Natural Bamboo Rug:
The 2 bamboo mats I purchased were to be used for the entrance of our tents. I looked everywhere, couldn't find anything in the stores decided to try the internet. Very very satisfied with them. They washed up beautifully and rolled up easily to store back in the bag they came in. My only request is the bag they come in is very flimsy. One of the bags had three holes in it. The fabric is very thin. These bamboo mats are heavy and durable, should have come in something a lot stronger.

Comments about Anji Mountain Bamboo Rugs Contemporary Natural Bamboo Rug:
The rug failed in two and a half months. The border fabric did NOT fade, it disintegrated. When you touch the cloth it leaves black dust on your hands and clothes, like cheap velvet. The bamboo slats no longer lay flat. I'm not sure if it is due to the cloth shrinking or the bamboo warping. Or possibly the backing is the cause. Water was not the issue. Heat and or sun were the likely culprits. In a dry, cool indoor area it may do fine.

We were looking for something that would be durable, yet attractive. This rug was more than we expected. We placed it in the coffee lounge in front of the Keurig. It gives the room a very chic look.
