I love my new stair treads. I bought them because I have four dogs and one is 14. The hard wood stairs were too slippery for her. I have been hesitant because I thought I needed to nail them into the stairs. I used the install kit myself and it was a breeze. And completely effective. The treads do not slip off at all but are secure on the stairs. My dogs (especially the senior one) are so much more secure on the steps. They are attractive and easy to vacuum. And they are so much softer for my feet on the stairs! I love them! Best buy I've made this year.

These are too hard to clean and they're giant pet hair catchers! If they would have been easier to clean, they would have been great. I ended up taking them off after 6 weeks. They just always looked terrible!

Overall, I was really disappointed. It is mostly cosmetic, though. I really was unhappy with the look of the product. It is very industrial looking.
