I have wooden stairs and braided stair treads for each step. I didn't want to tack them down, so this product did the job well. The rugs are safely in place, but can be easily removed if needed.

Initially, I thought this product was like the foam-like, grippy material that you can purchase to put under throw rugs or that is attached to chair cushions to make them anti-slip. I didn't realize this was actually a dual-sided tape-like product. I was afraid that the thinness of the product was not going to perform well, but I was pleasantly surprised with its grip. I used this product under stair treads on my hardwood stairs. My only concern is whether or not the sticky backing will come off well from the stairs when I'm ready to remove them. I have a feeling that I may have to use Goof-Off to get any residue off of the stairs. It is because of this uncertainty that I gave this product a rating of 3. Furthermore, had I known that this product was little more than just dual-sided tape, I would have gotten a roll of the spongy-gripper stuff so that I would have the flexibility to move the treads around. For this reason, I would not recommend this to a friend.
Also, it would have been great if they sold this item by custom length. It is pre-measured for 13 treads. I had a 15-tread staircase, so I instead of purchasing 2 kits, I had to cut each sticky section a little shorter than recommended to make it stretch out to cover 15 stairs. If they sold this product by number of treads needed, it would be a huge help and convenience, especially for those who only need a few treads.

Excellent product. Other companies have discontinued their installation kits siting safety concerns. I was happy to find your company and I'm very pleased with your product. We have 4 adults and 3 dogs who are putting the stair treads to the test. They are holding up extremely well with your installation materials.

With our new oak staircase complete, I found a tasteful, but minimal stair tread to still show much of the wood. However, the concern was safety and not having to put staples or nails in our new oak treads. This product was easy to install, and holds my braided stair tread firmly in place.

We use this adhesive roll to stick our stair treads on our hard wood flooring going up the stairs. It has been perfect and we could even "restick" our treads on a few times when our preschoolers decided to unstick them. 3 Years later I am going to buy more since some have been uprooted so many times it doesnt stick any more. Second time buyer though!
