The rugs of the Traditions Made Modern collection were inspired by Pueblo pottery and Navajo textiles. The rugs have a graphic clarity and rhythmic coverage of field that are at ease in modern settings as well as rustic folk schemes. Crafted with 100% wool, the tweeded, richly hued surface is the result of a mixture of yarns chosen to give service and pleasure for years to come. Woven on a Wilcom machine using a loop/tip shear construction, then hand-finished, each rug suggests the surface depth of a hand-crafted artifact.
